Diary Dates

We invite you to become a member of Caring Together Whitby and District

We are also looking to recruit a Secretary and Treasurer to help steer us through difficult financial times and ensure we are able to continue to offer our services.

We are sad to say 'goodbye' and thanks to two long-standing Trustees - Doreen and Heather - who have supported us for many years; and we wish them well.

13 - 15 July at Whitby Spa - Quilt show

We have heard that we will benefit from funds raised at the annual Whitby Quilt show which runs over the weekend at the start of the summer holiday. Again, thank you to all the organisers who have offered to support us in this way .... please go along and see their wonderful craft and design skills.

In the event of a crisis you may need to contact NYCC Health & Adult Care on : 01609 532559

Rural Community Breakfasts in Lythe

On a monthly basis, at Lythe Village Hall we invite you to a 'bacon buttie and a cuppa' - and often a guest speaker.  A donation of £3.50 towards refreshments is appreciated.
Breakfast is on offer once a month on Wednesday mornings so if you fancy getting out and joining in but need some help with mobility or transport issues, please contact Isabelle Harrison through the 'Caring Together' office on 01947 605757

Community Breakfast dates and speakers:

5th September - Tales from the Forge

3rd October     - being an Olympic Games Maker

7th November  - Life with sheepdogs

Note : If we are out of the office and you want to leave a message please remember to leave your name and your phone number ... so we can get back to you. Thanks.

Goathland Get-Togethers

In partnership with Goathland Church and the Mallean Spout hotel, we are pleased to welcome older people in and around Goathland to a friendship group.
Through the winter months we hope to offer the chance for a local social, with a small charge for the coffee and cake (£3.50) to stave off the 'winter blues'.
If you are interested, please contact Isabelle Harrison at the Caring Together office on 01947 60575 or for further information follow this link.

“The support offered by Caring Together has been very reliable and on-going. A lifeline for the loneliness felt in old age.” A comment by a user of our services.
